Oh, Crafty Day!

Finally I was able to get to craft! FINALLY! This "vacation" from work and school has been more busy than regular weeks! Sheesh! Had a fantastic Christmas and Noah's birthday went off without a hitch...not withstanding the small snowstorm we received that day!

I was able to crank out 2 cards for 3 challenges today. The first  card is for Cupcake Craft Challenges as well as Cute Card Thursday. The theme for both this time around was "Thank You". I used 2 images from "The Digi Shack" as freebies some time back. After many dreary days here in TN I am ready for some spring colors. So, I made this as cheerful as I could.
This second card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I used the freebie from the Greeting Farm for the new year. I love it! Wanted a classy, shimmery card so I used a gold gel pen, and lots of rhinestones. I also broke out my brand new black stickles, given to me from my wonderful friend heather. I couldn't wait for the stickles to dry because of the sun going down, but now that they are drying the card is SO shimmery!!
Hope you all enjoy! Hope to be back with more soon! Stay crafty!

Deer Friends

Hello, all! I hope you are gearing up for a fantastic Christmas!!

I made this gift card holder yesterday for my SIL for Christmas, and wanted to share. I also made it for Stamptacular Sunday's "Treemendous" challenge. This paper is ALL kindsa funky trees, so I thought it would be perfect. I also used Some Odd Girl's December freebie, Deery. I loved it as soon as I saw it and have been waiting anxiously to be able to use it! December is a busy month, but I finally made some time!

Hope you all enjoy a fantastic holiday with your families!! Merry Christmas!! Stay crafty!

Bling it up!

Its that time again! Time for another fabby challenge from Some Odd Girl! Bling, times TWO!!

The challenge is to use at least TWO DIFFERENT kinds of bling on your project!

Here is my example using Birthday Tia, a past freebie:
I blinged it up with stickles and rhinestones!! Love this image and these colors, and I made the sentiment with Microsoft Word.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with ! I know it will be amazing! What girl doesn't like to BLING??

Stay crafty!!

I'll have a blue Christmas!

This week I was chosen to be a guest "sweetie" over at Cupcake Inspirations! How exciting! I was happy to accept!

The challenge this time was a set of BEAUTIFUL blue iced cupcakes with snowflakes. The sponsor, Anita B Stampin, provided this adorable image! I love her features and the care-free nature of the image!

I am also using this card for Bee Crafty's "Winter, not christmas" challenge!

I decided to try something different than the average card and make this snow globe card that I found over on Splitcoaststampers! I love it! It was so easy, and I love the effect it makes! I used stickles to add some wintery pizazz and I used a Heidi Grace flower to round out the sparkles! To color the image I used my prisma markers and my copics.

I truely hope you enjoy! Stay crafty!

Winter Rain Brings Creative Times

Ahh, TN. Tn in the winter can be a real downer. Thank heaven for christmas lights and baking, and CRAFTS!

Today was the very first Hol-Odd-Day blog hop for Some Odd Girl! Its still going on so be sure to CHECK IT OUT! Cause its Awesome!! There are some new images as well as some prizes, so get on it!!
Also, I was reminded that I never posted my scrap pages from last week, so here they are.

(Yes, those are flowers on a BOY page...because they are AWESOME flowers)
Lastly, 3 challenges! Phew! Barely made it! It was a long, but QUIET day. Now if I could shake whatever plague has entered this house it would be wonderful. I am SO sick of being sick. Ughhhh.....but I digress. Life does go on!!

This first card is with my new Greeting Farm image and I am using it for Friday Sketchers #130. Wow! Go FS!! Loved this sketch. This card looked better in my mind, and the lack of sunlight here in TN isn't helping the photo any, but trust me when I tell you this card looks great in person!
This next card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches and Cupcake Inspirations AND Card Makin Mamas, sponsered by Meljin this week!! I loved these challenges and I  had to use my Kaylee from Some Odd Girl for theses challenges.

Hope you are having a fantastic week thus far!

How much is that oddie in the window?

Yes, today is the day! Its a new Odd Girl challenge, and its fantastic!

First, I want to say congrats to the winner and the 2 faves. Such FANTASTIC takes on the background challenge! Loved them all!

Now, on to this time around's challenge!! WINDOW!!! I love window cards. So fun and so fresh with possibilities! I used the Odd Girl Santa and created a chimney for him to go down. I used Fun Flock for the fuzzy parts on the image as well as for the snow on the roof. Inside the card, showing through the window is Ho, Ho, Ho!! Cut with my Cricut.

Enjoy, and  I can't wait to see your projects!! Stay Crafty!

Rain, rain, go away....

Or at least the cold. One or the other, but not both, please!

Today seemed like the perfect day to craft....and clean...I chose to craft first. Just in case I ran out of time. Teehee...

Actually, last evening I finished knitting a scarf and crocheting a flower broach to go with. Actually, I say crochet....what I mean is, I crochet'd a chain, and then sewed it together..cause I don't know how to knit and crochet the right way. Haha....

Now, on to the cards! This first card I made with an adorable image that I found on a website a friend posted awhile back. This is Jude! Isn't he cute? This card is for Get Sketchy's sketch this week, a challenge I am sad to say I have neglected over the last couple of months. I thought the sentiment on the inside was perfect! Tee, hee...because its so true!

This next card was for "Anyone For Anya", another challenge I have neglected lately. It feels good to get back into the game! Their challenge this week was, antique white. This is something I have NEVER done before. I used 3 copics to color Anya, and a blender....I also used a copic to antique the swirls.
Hope its not cold and rainy everywhere today, and if it is, then I hope you are warm and snuggly inside. Stay Crafty!

Its RELEASE DAY !!!

That's right, folks, its that time again! Time for those slightly odd, extremely lovable Odd Girl Digis!!

I know I am late to the party, but I wanted to finish this project to give you one more reason to head out and get some of those digis!!

I made a 12 days of Christmas Advent Calander for my mini man who was just SURE it was time to hang this up already. He was quite disappointed when I told him we still had about a month to go.

This project is ALSO for Bee Crafty Downloads blog. Their theme this week is, Christmas! Well, I think this is as Christmas as it gets, no??

I used 3 of the latest release images from Some Odd Girl. Pressie Tobie, Penguin Friends and Santa. LOVE!! The Merry circles were a freebie from...somewhere, and the others were random images I had laying around to fill it in a little. The letters for the title are from Cricut's Story Book cartridge. The pockets were from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I mounted everything onto seriously thick chipboard.

I plan to put baby candy canes in each pocket for Noah to take out every day. Hope that this inspires you not only to buy some new digis, but to also get out that Christmas stuff and CREATE! You only have ONE MONTH!!!

Stay crafty!!

Feelin Thankful!

So, who all is diggin this cold weather? I am not sure sure if I like it or not, haven't decided, but I am definatly loving the clouds and the sky! Its been beautiful! I love the changing of the seasons! ::sigh::

I am TOTALLY diggin the Some Odd Girl Freebie this month, Turkey Perky. Honestly, I usually can't stand Thanksgiving turkey stamps, but this one is freakin ADORABLE! And I am not just saying that. He is SO CUTE!!

I used him for cupcake craft challenges this week, as well as the Card Makin Mamas challenge over on Facebook. Cupcake Craft Challenges' challenge this week was "Thank you with autumnal colors". So, of course, the first image I thought of was Turkey Perky. Card makin mamas was to keep it simple, and keep the image the main focus of the card.

I used scrap paper for this card, which makes me even more proud. Thanks such a problem for me. I LOVE paper, and using the scraps gets old, and I want MORE, haha...yeah, its an addiction. I colored this image with all copics. I think that might be a first for me. I usually mix with Bic, but had a good range of colors this time. Yay!

My son wanted to get in on the action, so I gave him supplies and let him go to town. I am so proud that my son loves to craft and color. He LOVES some odd girl images! Hope you enjoy!

Stay crafty!!

Scrappy Sunday To Ya!

The image that I used on this first page is called, Trike Tobie and its an Odd image. You can purchase it here.

This card is for Friday Sketchers this week. I used Cold Kaylee (here) for this card. I used copics and bic markers to color the image. The paper is from Paper Studio. I also used Fun Flock from G Studio (4 colors for a dollar at Michael's). Enjoy!

Hope that your weather is a wonderful as ours is! We have the best temps and breezes right now! Stay crafty!

Fallish things

Boy, the weather is right on schedule today. Chilly, dreary and drizzly. Its def fall weather! Oh, for it to be a Saturday afternoon so I could just snuggle under the covers and snooze.

But, alas, it is but Tuesday afternoon. SO, instead, I have crafted a few things to share. Or 9....lol

Noah has his first class party on Friday and I wanted to make something to give out, so I made these cute little treat bags for his class. I used the Stamptacular Sunday challenge. Stamptacular Sunday asked for anything BUT a card. How about treat baggies??

The stamps were digital freebies from ages and ages ago, and the paper used was Paper Studios...my hubbs  brought me home the plastic baggies from a shipment of computer parts at his work. Yes, this is a green...ish...project too!

Hope to be back soon with more to show! Time to get started on those Christmas cards!!! Stay crafty!

Dream, Dream, Dream

Today was a family day in the Sloan household. Though, I must admit, a few selfish things got done too...such as 2 blog challenges. What can I say? I use my nap times! lol!

This first card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches. I have really gotten into their blog. They almost always have a winning challenge over there! Very inspiring!

I used Star Tia (a previous Odd freebie) for this challenge. I colored her with copic and bic markers. I used my cricut and made a moon and 2 stars. I used bling for stardust and some great sticker letters I got at Big Lots. Stickles, to top off the image made it just right.
This next card is for All That Scraps "Wednesday Challenge", which was to make manly cards. Most of my manly images are packed away at the moment, so I thought I would use a mini man from Some Odd Girl, "Tobie and Buddie". It was coloring this image that I realized I ran out of my skin color copic ink. ::sniffle:: WAAAAAAAAHHHHH....Yeah, I see a hobby lobby trip in my near future. I also used Bic markers for this image, and popped out the buddie to make the card more dimensional. The sentiment is a Crayola rub-on.

Hope that you all were able to come on out for digi day! If not, you have until tomorrow to finish entering the challenges, so be sure to head over to SNR and Paper Craft Planet, and STAY CRAFTY!

Its DIGI DAY!!!

Paper Craft Planet and SNR Card Universe have become a very "Odd" place to hang out today! Games, challenges, a sale AND a freebie? Does it get much better?? I think not!!!

The first challenges (both different) are posted in each forum....Celebration theme, and an awesome sketch! Be sure to check them out! Go snag your freebie and play for a chance to win MORE free stuffs from Some Odd Girl!

This card that I made will be featured right after lunch for MY challenge, so be sure to check it out! Can't wait to see you all!

Stay Crafty!

Happy Birthday!!

So, I am going to a birthday party tonight, so I made time to make this sweet lil card with Birthday Tia. The little girl is turning 3 and is the sweetest thing.

I made this card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Used Birthday Tia (of course) and then some MME papers. Colored her with Copic and Bic markers. Hope you like!

This next is a sneak peek for Saturday's Digi Day....you ready to play? Hope so! Its going to be AWESOME!
Have a great rest of the week, and stay crafty!

Its challenge time!

Yay for new Odd challenges! This time around its a stash challenge, which means, MY TURN! The odd challenge is, FABRIC! I love working with fabric! I used it on my post on the 5th, and I used Tule on Windy Mae for this challenge post. LOVE it! I colored her with Copic markers, and added some flair wth my stardust gel pen. I love this image. It gives Mae a look of utter abandon. ::sigh::

Be sure to check out the new challenge and release over at Some Odd girl! Its their best to date!

Fabby Tuesday Release!

I...am....SO excited about this release. It seems like every single time Some Odd Girl has a release, it becomes my fave. Seriously. I can't wait to get a few more images from this one!

This release is FALL themed! Fitting, since the leaves are just about ready to be raked up here in TN, and its finally sweater weather! Woot! Next up? Punkin farms and Trick-Or-Treating! Woot! My Noah is going to be Woody, from Toy Story. He was Buzz last year, so, its fitting.

So, for this fabby release, I am going to showcase Witchy Kaylee. I am not big on witches, ghosts and goblins, but this chic (AND the October freebie ghostie) was just too adorable to pass up! HAD to have her and get creative!

I made this CD holder for one of my BFFs. I shot some photos of her and sent them to her in this neat-o case. She is big on holidays and I think she will LOVE it! On the kitty I used Fun Flock from G studios (4 colors for a dollar at Michaels!) and the funky fabric is from my darling husband. He bought me some beautiful flowers and they came wrapped in this funny material. LOVE it! I colorde her with mostly Bic Markers, some Copic. The square eyelets are from Making Memories! All of the papers were scrap.

Here is the full release:
Be sure to check out everyone on my sidebar too! This is a great release! Woot!

FINALLY!

I got to do a challenge this week! Phew! This last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind that I don't wanna do again for a long time. School is out next week, no more conferences for another year, time to catch up and clean up!

I entered the creative card crew's "Bloomin Marvelous" challenge this week. The project is quick and sweet, and due to a mishap with my 3 year old some of the stickles smeared...BUT, its cute and sweet! I used Smell The Flowers Tia from the new Tinies release over at Some Odd Girl! She was a dream to color and I thought she would be perfect for this challenge. Please excuse the photo quality. We are on our way out the door again!

Here are a few other things I worked on yesterday for my second expo this weekend:
Clothes Pin Fridge Magnets:
Recipe Holder Clothes Pins:
 COUPON ORGANIZERS!
I hope you enjoy! Wish me luck and stay crafty!

Could I BE any busier?

Today wasn't relaxing, but I definatly got my crafting in. What, with one challenge card, 14 notecards and 6 or 7 magnets and 2 bookmarks...yeah....I think I am good for a day or so...LOL Did I mention my 3.5 year old has been tantruming today? Yeah....

Gearing up for the Women's Expo at our church's women's retreat next weekend, and I feel like I am in over my head, here! SO much still to do and the days are getting much busier!

Anyway, today I got on Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. I fell in love and then found this long lost paper and just HAD to play! I used Bullz from Some Odd Girl. He looks great in these colors, if I do say so myself.  I colored him with Bics and a prisma color marker. The paper is from The paper studio and some glittery self adhesive stuff that was from Joann on sale for 10 cents and a quarter.
Hope you all are having delightfully crafty weekends!
