Pretty in pink!

Okay, I never thought I would say this, but Phew! I am getting tired of making cards! Been trying to make notecards in bulk for the women's expo I signed up for in a month and am running out of steam! But I carved out some time to make a quick challenge card today. My apologies for the lack of inspiration, but I was still pleased with this cutie.

I made this card for Stamptacular Sunday's, "Pretty in pink" challenge as well as Bee Crafty's "Anything Goes" challenge. Yay! And, of course, I used Kaylee and her pretty balloons. :) Love those odd images!

I added my own flourishes with some bling and colored Kaylee with Copic and Bic markers.

Here is the other thing I have been up to lately.....FLOWERS! Remember that tutorial I posted? I am LOVING making these things!! They will be available for sale in my papermom shop on Shophandmade.com. Here is this one.
As well as I have been knitting again! This picture doesn't do this soft, yummy wool scarf justice, but let me just say, I don't want to part with it. Its that great. ;) Here it is if you are interested.
Hope you enjoyed this post! There are lots of new notecards out there too on my site....and I guess I should go get going on those puppies again. ::sigh:: Stay crafty!

Scrappy Summer

It would seem, that just for the moment, Summer is finally taking a break from the horrendous heat and allowing us cool breezes and warm sunshine. I think fall might actually arrive soon! ::crosses fingers::

Today I decided to do a new blog challenge that I came across a few weeks ago, The Scrappiest. Her sketches and challenges are so inspiring! I just had to get in the mix!

This is also for the Cupcake Craft Challenge, this week, which is Blue and Green. LOVE that color combo!

Here it is! Hope you like!
I ALSO wanted to tell you about the 1000 Cupcake Lovers candy! Oh, MY its yummy! I have been doing the cupcake craft challenges for a long time now and they are fantastic! Check out those AQUA MARKERS!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday! I hope to be back later!

No, its not paper

I am officially branching out. I am always so inspired by the sewing projects I see my friends doing, and last night I was inspired to finally give it a whirl. I came across this post on Hey Jenn Renee's blog. I have SO MANY clothes that I was going to give to Goodwill, and, well, sorry Goodwill, but you will have to go and find other clothes, because I am in full inspiration mode!

Let me stop here and tell you that I have ZERO sewing skillz. I mean, I can do a basting stitch, or sew on a button, but that's where it ends. This is "sew" (oh, yes I did) easy that an older child could do it.

Here is the flower that I made last night. I have many more plans for flowers, in fact, I made another tiny blue one and have 7 more cut out to make. I see gifts, jewlery and hair pieces for a long time to come!

I hope that you were inspired and be sure to check out Hey Jenn Renee, as well as Lushlee.com! Another AWSOME inspirational blog!

Dancin the day away

So today I got up inspired to craft....but...I guess that's normal. Anyway, I decided to combine 2 challenges that I was going to do anyway: Cupcake Craft Challenges, and Mercy's Tuesday Morning Sketch. Both were very inspiring and they lent to each other, so, why not?

Cupcake Craft Challenges was a recipe this week, using the number 2 to celebrate their 2 year blog-a-versery. Use at least 2 patterened papers, use at least 2 ribbons and at least 2 flowers. I think I knocked that one out of the park!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch was very inspiring as well.
I used Dancin Mae from Some Odd Girl for this card. The papers and card just fell together. That's the sign of a great project. When you don't have to over think things. The papers that I used were all scraps, so I am not sure of the brand. I used mostly Bic markers to color Mae. The flowers are prima. I used my stardust gel pen to add some extra somethin somthin to a few elements on Mae.
I hope you enjoy this card! I had a blast making it!

Just a little something

So, I had all these grand plans of doing tons of challenges today...then, I got going on this page, and, well, its not for any challenge. I just really wanted to do it.
I used "Storybook" cartridge for Cricut for the flourishes and the word, "Friends". Of COURSE I used this ADORABLE freebie from Some Odd Girl, Tobie. As soon as they posted this I knew I was going to use it for this page. It was....perfect! I even dared to use bling, something that, as the mother of a boy, I don't get ot use very often for scrapping.

I hope you enjoy! Sorry for the short post! Will be back in a day or two with some real challenges!

Stay Crafty!

Its Thursday!

And that means a new stash challenge over at Some Odd Girl! My very first challenge with the team and it was a blast! Can't wait for the next one!

This week, the challenge for Some Odd Girl is "Ribbons and Rub Ons". Oh, I knew exactly what I wanted to use for this challenge! I have chosen Balloon Kaylee for this week's card. I colored her with my copics and added the star rubons. I also popped out her balloons. The papers are from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment and flower flourish are also rub ons. The rub ons were from Colorbok. They are awesome and only a dollar at Joann! I used black ribbon and made my own embellishment thingie. (Yes, that is the technical term).
So, what are you waiting for? Hop over and check out what the rest of the DT (posted on my sidebar) has done for inspiration and then hit the desk and start crafting!

I think I need to bake something....

I am SO in the mood to bake....just not to clean up from said baking. ::Sigh::

So I made a card. Someone needs to clean that up too...so many messes, so little time. Haha!

So, today I did the Friday Sketchers challenge. Loved this sketch and knew exactly what I wanted to do! I found this SUPER CUTE paper at Hobby Lobby by my other paper brand obsession (of which there are many) paper studio. Yeah, super cute. Totally going to make another baking set out of it! This image, is, of course, Baker Kaylee (available here). I colored her with my copics. The flower is Prima, and the brads are from Bo Bunny. And, I had to use my cotton candy stickles. They were the perfect touch. Hope you enjoy this little card! I think its scrumptious!
Here is the the tag:
And a yummy close up of the flower and brad:
Hope your week is off to a good of a start as mine! Our pups is doing better, my son is loving being in school and I got to make a card. I think that's pretty darn good for a Monday. Stay crafty!

Feeling a bit odd today

So, how many of you have seen Some Odd Girl's freebie this month? Oh, man. Its SO my son and his dog.

This week has been long, and heart wrenching. Our newly acquired family member, Owen, (stray rat terrier adopted from a park 3 weeks ago) has been sick to the point that we thought he was going to die last night....but this morning...a tail wag...that, is a sign of improvement. I don't know how much you know about Parvo, but its a terrible disease that dogs and sometimes cats, can get. There is only a 50% chance of survival, and there are no drugs to treat it. All you can do is push fluids and get nourishment in any way you can. So, I have spend my last 4 going on 5 days feeding my dog with a syringe and inserting an IV into his hip for fluids...after spending 2 days at the vet...Its touch and go, but we are hopeful.

So, today I chose to use Tobie for 2 challenges. The first, is for Cupcake Craft Challenges. Their theme was, "Distress". The second challenge this card is for is Cute Card Thursday. Their theme was, "whateva". Can't go wrong, right?

I distressed the edges of my different papers and cardstock with the edge of my scissors and then some sepia ink and a sponge. I colored Tobie with my copics and my red bic....reds and blues are next on my copic list. The papers were from my scrap pile. I beleive, but don't quote me...that this paper is from American Craft....but again...its been a long time...The accents are from Colorboc (1 dollar at Joann!) I am expecially proud of this card because I used my fun flok! This stuff is, indeed, fun! So, pup's ears and tail are fuzzy. I also popped out the pup to give more dimension to the image.
This second card is for The Creative Card Crew. Their theme was, "Cute And Girly". Of course, most things odd are cute and girly, but I chose Princess Mae (who was a freebie awhile back) because what's more cute and girly than a girl dressed up as a princess? I can't think of anything! I colored her with Copics. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and DCWV. There is also some scrap stuffs. I used Paper Studio bling to accent Mae's crown and then randomly on the card. To add some shimmer I used my stardust pen.

I hope you all enjoy these cards! They were very fun and easy! Have a wonderful weekend and stay crafty!

So excited, and just can't hide it!!!

So, BIG NEWS, right?? I got chosen to be on the SOME ODD GIRL DT!!! I am absolutely over the moon THRILLED to be on board with these talented ladies!! That they chose me just makes me feel like the luckiest gal in the blog-o-sphere!!

Today is also Some Odd Girl's newest image release, and there are some honies, lemme tell you! I chose Baker Kaylee. She is so stylish and cute in her little apron. Couldn't help myself. I couldn't make just a card. She needed to be part of a kitchen, and so, the birth of the kitchen gift set! Kinda wish I could make an apron to go along with it!

Cookbook with bookmark, and 3 cards for the extra special recipes with a recipe card holder.

The papers are all from My Mind's Eye (yes, again) and Core'D' nations color core card stock. I used paper studio bling, and some ribbon from my stash. I colored Kaylee with a mix of copics and bics. The letters were cut using my cricut, George and Basic Shapes cartridge.

Hope you enjoy this post! Be sure to hop over and welcome all of the new and old oddies over on their blog!  They are all posted on my sidebar, and I am sure they would love to get some love from you! And be SURE to check out the newest release and all of the fun images here!

AND be sure to check out the current challenge, and this month's freebie, Toby! He's ADORABLE!

Stay crafty!

Feelin Scrappy

Awhile back I got a bunch of pictures printed with the intention of scrappin, and thus far, that hasn't happened. Until today. YAY! Would have done more than one page had I not had major creative block. As you can see, both my card, and my scrap page are simple and to the point, but I think both of them pack a punch as well.

Here is my scrap page. I have really started utilizing wallet sized pictures to ensure that I can fit more pictures in a book, because, at this rate, Noah is going to be buried under 2 tons of scrapbooks when I die! At least he will know I love him, though! :D

I also broke in my Independence Day cartridge for my Cricut that DH bought me soon after the 4th at Walmart. Its going to be a good one, now that I have a new mat and blade! Woot!
This card is for Stamptacular Sunday. Their challenge this week is "Outta This World". I immediatly thought of my Papermom image, Bleep Blorp. It was such a joy to color. Sorry, not trying to brag, but sometimes an image looks good, and its SO hard to color. This one just worked for me. I used all bics. I used paper studio paper and stickles. The orange band is crimped, but its hard to tell in the picture.
Well, that is that for this time. Hoping to see you again about mid week with NEWS! Stay crafty!

Just a couple!

Yesterday, I got the chance to work on 2 challenges! YAY for crafty time!

The first challenge I tackled is Get Sketchy. When I saw this sketch I knew immediately what I was going to do,and had to get started! I have had this Hallmark ribbon forever and have been looking for the perfect thing to use it on, and this project was it! The flowers are from Prima, and the bedazzles are from the paper studio. The papers are from My Minds Eye and Core'D'Nations! 2 of my faves!!

This second card is for Fab N Funky. Their challenge was to see Buttons and Bows, two things I LOVE to put on my projects. I used Snuggle Anya, who, I acquired in a swap recently. Used my copics to color her with. I accented the flourishes with my stardust glitter pen. And, of course, added buttons and a bow. :D
I was able to clean and organize all of my crafty things, and replaced my cricut blade so hoping that today, or this week I will be able to get some heavy scrapping done! Got the Independence Day cart, and am dieing to break it in! And, did I mention the 50 reward points that came with it??

Stay crafty!!
