Its Monday!

And my mojo might be back, baby! I made 2 cards during naptime today! Woot! One for Mojo Monday and one for House Mouse Monday. YAY!

The first one here is for House Mouse Monday. Our challenge was to use Paper Tole. I was like, what? What in the world? After looking around I discoverd that I actually use this technique a lot and just never realized it had a name, ha! Basically, you stamp an image 2 or more times and color parts that you want to stand out, cut them out and attach them to your base image with pop dots or some kind of dimensional.

Here is my take on this:
The image is called, "Lavander Bouquet". Its a Gruffie and it was a RAK from...possibly Heather T....but I am not entirely sure...I colored him with my Bic markers as well as my watercolor pencils. I used my stardust stickles to try and give the flowers some more dimension because the markers made them a little darker than I had invisioned. The paper is my world famouse K and Company paper from Big Lots that I will die without when it is gone and the bling came from Heather T.
This last card was made for Mojo Monday. I hope its close enough to count. As I made the card, my space needs changed. Its a little crowded, but I still like it.
Here was our sketch:
And here is my card:

The image was a birthday RAK from CGrandmaCheryl from Cafe Mom. If anyone can tell me...what the name of the image is? Or who makes it?? The letters are made with partially recycled matierials by K and Company. I used my stardust stickles on a couple to add some pizazz. My favorite part of the image is her hair. Love the funk!

Hope you enjoy! Have a fabulous rest-of-monday!

Bluegrass Cards

So yesterday Heather T and I got together again! Woohoo! This time we met up at Heather's home. It was so much fun! We went on golf cart rides, pet Trooper the Horse, went swimming, AND made cards to boot! It was a blast!
We even got 5 cards between the 2 of us! Woot!
Here are mine. This first one I made just 'cause.

I used a House Mouse image image that I received as a RAK ages and ages ago. I colored it with my Bics and my copics. The paper is from K and Company. Its a stack called Citronella and I am in LOVE with it!! I used Heather's stickles. Red! I also got to use her crop-a-dile. Kinda a cool little contraption.
This last card I made for Stampers Anonymous over on Cafe Mom. It was a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on it:

I used Heather's scraps for the paper, so I can't give you much info about them other than I loved this flower paper! I received this Charlie Horse from Shannon. I love it! Colored with my bics. I used Heather's light blue stickles on the flowers and the butterfly.
Hope you all enjoyed!

A little Sweet, A Little Sassy

Hello, all! Got a couple of cards done today, despite being up WAY too much last night AND having a short-napping toddler. Phew! Both cards are just because. I feel like I have been to focused on challenges, and am losing my personal touch.

So this first one is a sweet notecard.

I used an image from.....Carol? I think?? Its Charlotte Ketto. I love it! The paper is that famous DCWV pack I keep posting on here. I used my Bic and Copic markers as well as my stardust stickles for some pizazz.
This second card I made using a stamp I just bought called, Paris Bella. I was still feeling Black, Red and Pinkish so I took my scraps out from my ICS card and used it for Bella. I paper pieced her top and the "doggie bag". I decided her shorts needed some bling. Too much? Oh, well! The flower is from American Craft. The blingie brads are from Target's Dollar Spot from ages ago. Thought they were perfect!
Anyway, hope you enjoyed my lil humpday crafting time!

Has anyone seen my mojo??

Hi there! Its been a busy week thus far and its only Tuesday! Yikes! What else can this week bring?? DH bought a truck, we just sold our car unexpectedly...old friends want to reconnect and then there is family time...did I mention that I have a toddler tornado?? PHEW!
I did, however, manage to carve out some crafty time for myself today! Woot! About time, though....I am not sure where my mojo has gotten to. Has anyone seen it recently??
These two cards are for blog sketches. The first, is for Mojo Monday, and the second, for ICS.
Here is the first sketch for ICS:
Here is my inturpretation. I didn't make the circle into a window. I just don't have the tools for that as of yet, but I think the outcome works.

The image is Phoebe Ketto, from one of my beautiful friends over on Cafe Mom. I think she is DEF my next purchase from Stampingbella.com. I colored her with Bics and my skin colored copic. I used my Cotton Candy Stickles (I see a trend here) and tried my hand at some faux stitching. The papers are from DCWV.
This last sketch is for Mojo Monday:
Here is my card:
I am ashamed to say that not only do I not know who gave me this image (might have been a swap?), I have no idea who makes it or what it is called, but it is SO cute! I thought it was perfect for this sketch. It was colored with Bics and a skin colored copic. I used my "nursery" DCWV stack for the papers. Annnd, I might have gone a liiiitttlllee crazy with the stardust and cotton candy stickles, lol! Hope you enjoyed!!

Monkeying around

Hello, all! I am back! As inspired as ever. ;) Got my House Mouse Monday blog challenge done and in the bag, as well as Heather D.'s sketch challenge over at CCC. YAY! 2 in one day!

This first card, is the House Mouse Monday blog challenge. I love it! Their challenge was a color challenge this week: Neapolitan. Such a GREAT color scheme! I haven't played with it in awhile! Well, what do you think?
I used a RAKd image from Heater T. Its a Gruffie called, "Cake Walk". Yeah, I might invest. Its pretty much adorable. I colored this handsome guy with Watercolor pencils, and the rest of the image was colored with my Copics. The papers I used are from Making Memories, a Neapolitan colored stack. Convenient? I think so. ;) The little charm is from SWEET Heather D. I HAD to use it! It was PERFECT! And, of course, on the popped cake I used my Cotton Candy colored Stickles, a birthday gift from Heater T. (Phew! You two are CONFUSING! HA!) Also, making the card even better, IMO...is that I came up with the sketch for this card. What do you think?
This last card is for Heather D.'s Cute Critter Club sketch challenge.
Here is the sketch:

And here is the card:

I used a Wednesday Freebie image from Dustin Pike. I call him, "Grinning Monkey, but I am sure he has a real name. I colored this image with my Bics. These papers are from Making Memories. A stack called, Citronella. I LOVE this stack. It almost broke my heart to actually USE this paper! The yellow twine is from Heather D. I don't know if you can tell, but its shiny! And, the Ric Rac is from Diane (Raz) from like a year ago! I hope you enjoy!! Have a great rest of the week, folks!

Inspirational Card Sketch Challenge

So, I have been blog hopping...and lurking...Heather D. is on the DT over at ICS and I have been eyeing their sketches for some time. So, today I decided that this was the challenge to tackle. I liked this sketch because it was simple and would be great for interpretation.

Heather T? I bought that Nursery stack from DCWV last night at Joanns...I LOVE IT! I thought it was the perfect thing for this image. She is "Matilda Muffinbread" from Stampingbella.com. She was a RAK, I believe from Heather....D? I could be wrong, though. I really should keep a notebook.

Anywhere, here you go! Sketch
and Card!

I used my skin and pink Copics for her, as well as my new set of Bics (Heather T? I broke down and bought the 36 pack, yes I did!). I used my Prima Flowers and some orange brads. I used my Cotton Candy and Stardust Stickles. I ALSO bought some core cardstock last night, and that is the Blue that you see. The rest is DCWV "Nana's Nursery, Pink". And last but not least, I am pleased to announce that I am FINALLY the proud owner of a white gel pen. What?? I know, right! Finally! LOL!

TGIF!

Yay for Friday! Loving this week's Friday Sketchers challenge! I could not wait to get started! Here is the beautiful sketch:

Here is my interpretation:
Here is my list of supplies: The paper is from Making Memories. Its the travel stack. The butterfly is from Stampin Up. Its a set called Wonderful Wings. The brads were from K and Company. A secret sister sent them to me. The flowers are from my sweet friend Diane (Razberrywhine). The last two from a fantastic RAK ages and ages ago. I lightly stickled the wings.
Have a great weekend!

Yeeehawww!

I am so excited! I have made at least one card every day this week! I LOVE it!

This card was for my GREAT, Super good friend Heather's sketch challenge over on Cafe Mom in the Cute Critters Club. Here is the sketch:

And here is my entry:

This card was made with Charleine Horse. A friend of mine sent them to me, though, for the life of me I can't remember which of my sweet ladies it was. Is that bad? I used my copics, bics and sharpies for this image. The paper is from...um....I can't remember, HA! And I wrote the sentiment myself! Anyway, just sharing before I head to my mother's house with lil man!

Hey! Looks like I got another challenge in the bag! Woot I bought this stamp at Hobby Lobby last week and have been antsy to use it. I just loved it! I didnt really have any nice flower stamps, so I thought it would be a nice investment (and then I got an entire SET from a SWEET friend for my Bday! YAY! Thanks Heather!!!) Anyway, I got started on this card and thought, Hey! I could SO use Friday's sketch for this card! So, here it is!!

FINALLY~

I think I am FINALLY back in commission! YAY!

For those of you who didn't hear my happy news, my hubby bought me an awesome desk for my birthday last week. OH, it was so exciting to purge and organize....and....I got sick. WAH...it was a LONG, BUSY weekend filled with wedding set up and craziness for one of my good friends...not to mention the ER visit for a dislocated elbow....note to self...don't use son's arms to help him onto the bed! So....that, and being sick kinda kicked the mojo to the curb.
But today, after a small nap and relaxing for awhile this AM I decided to break my new desk in. I went for the House Mouse Challenge. The challenge was Red, White and Blue. I had the perfect image stashed from about a year ago and dug it out. The paper was RAK mixed with The Paper Studio from my last Hobby Lobby run. I used Gold Stickles for the stars. I also got to break in my copics. I have a new pink and brown as well as the flesh colored one from TOOTHY! YAY! Hope you like!!!

Oh, and BOY did I get happy mail from Heather today! WOW! You always outdo yourself, girl! I can't wait to break into all of those goodies! Thanks for the cards and all of the birthday wishes last week! ::sniffle:: makes me feel loved! ;)
