Cute Card Thursday!

I HAD to do this sketch! It was perfect for my new Miss Anya stamps...not to mention...this sketch is SO inspired! I am in love! So many perfect layers! So, for Cute Card Thursday, here is my submission!

As I mentioned before, Miss Anya is the image, The papers are just a mix of things I have had for awhile. Some, "me and my big ideas", some "Martha Stewart", some Wal-mart...I used a cricut cut for the leaf. I honestly can't remember the name of the cart. I borrowed a friend's cart awhile back. And, of course...BLING! ;) Stickles and otherwise!
This next card is for the Cute Critters Club. Drug Charlene horse out of the image drawer. I loved the sketch Heather chose and got on it right away! Been waiting on sunlight for a better pic, and gave up...HA!
Again, the paper is just kinda hodge podge. An old favorite, but forgot the company. Stickles for bling. All cowgirls need rhindstones. ;)

This last set is for my store for my valentine's day line. Cute and simple set of 3 x 3s. Come on over and check it out! New products this week!
Anyway, thanks for visiting!!

I am back! Woot!

Okay, I think I am back for a week or so. THEN I get to go to the SMOKIES just me, my hubbie and my lil man! YAY! Our first Christmas together, just the 3 of us!

Today I managed to participate in a blog challenge and a cute critters challenge! Woohoo! Can't wait to get started again during naptime tomorrow! I had NO idea how much I missed card making!

Several of you are curious about my website. It IS going to happen, I am just waiting on my fantastic BIL to have a few moments of peace. They just moved, its Christmas, and he has 2 jobs...you know. Gotta go with the flow, but what I have seen of his work thus far...I am EXTATIC! I already have some stuff ready to go. I have scrap pages, I have felt embellies, I have felt die cuts, and I have card sets...and am planning to do much more. So, email me at mamacass@papermom.com if you are interested in anything. I plan to do frames, mini books, bookmarks, altered letters...just contact me until the website gets up and going.

NOW, today I managed to get the LPS challenge done. I got the image from Heather D. awhile back and hadn't had a chance to use it. Since the challenge was "baked" I thought this was perfect. I used my new copics to color her, courtesy of Heather T. THANK YOU!!! I used by bug for the blue paper. ;) The purple paper is core'dnations. LOVE their paper! ADDICTED!
This second card was a video by Dawn Griffith for the cute critters challenge. Made mine a Vday card. Couldn't help but use these changito guys. LOVE them and they fit so perfect that the card just fell together. This image was also colored with copics and the paper is also Core'dnations. I used cotton candy stickles on the balloon and the sentiment.
Here are some of the Christmas gifts I have worked on. All calendars, in case you couldn't tell. ;) I am all about the functional handmade gifts. I have one gift and one gift card holder to work on tomorrow and the rest of the week and hopefully more challenges. =0) I am feeling HAPPY about my crafty time!

for my mom
for my aunt
for my grandmother
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Fabulous Tuesday

Tuesday was fantastic! My sweet friend Heather T (Toothy) came down to visit and we carded child free! Wonderful! We also got to go craft shopping later!

The first card that I made was for the Cute Critters Club. It was a great sketch and I couldn't wait to get started!

I used Heidi Grace christmas paper, and a Rak'd image from last christmas. Of course, I also used stickles. I used Copics and Bics, and a prisma marker to get the desired color effects.

This next card was for the Cupcake Craft Challenge. It was also a sketch.

I used some tortise shell buttons, as well as a Rak'd magnolia image. I colored her with Copic, and bics. I accented her with my white gel pen. The paper is from Joann. I got it when they had their last 6 for 95 cents sale. Love those sales!
Hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!! Today the library is doing a trick or treat story time. Taking Noah! Might be back with pictures later!

TGIF! Just a couple :)

Hello, fellow crafter/bloggers! What a Friday! Phew! SO glad for the weekend! SO glad to see the SUNSHINE this afternoon, and ready for some rest this weekend!
I snuck in a couplea cards today despite my lifes craziness! YAY!
This first card is for the Little Paper Shop challenge. This week was a sketch and it really jumped out at me....but then I got stumped...then I found these tortise shell (hopefully fake???) and it was JACKPOT! lol!

I also used this Gorjuss girl. One of about 3 images I have left. Been hoarding them for a long time! Must...swap....SOON... The papers are from the Latte DCWV mini stack. LOVE! Mwa! Perfection!
This second card is for Get Sketchy. WOOT! Love their stuff. Really makes you think outside the box, and their DT is SO inspirational! I decided that I must...MUST get my Christmas cards done...and SOON! (man...I cap a lot of words...lol) so I used another swap image...love those swaps! And some more scraps...love those scraps!! And, of course...no Christmas scene is complete without....STICKLES!!! (there I go again) I also chalked the sky and the snow and lightly chalked the cuttled snowflake paper (sadly, the last I have....sigh). Get Skechy's bonus today was, "buttons" so I added 2 red buttons to match. Everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE buttons!

So, I hope you all have a fantastic, wonderful weekend!!

Saavvy!!!

My, my! Has it really been so long since I have posted? Sheesh! R
ediculous! Well, I won't bore you with my life's details, but know I had good reasons, lol!

I FINALLY sat down today and looked at all of the challenges out there! Phew! There are a LOT!! And they are ALL AMAZING!!! I want to get them all done, but I have a feeling I will only be getting a couple more done....tomorrow, at the earliest!

This first card is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge. I loved their theme this week, and had the perfect image....can you guess? I bet you already know...cause if you are like me you already scanned the cards before you read, lol! Frankie!!! (click for link) This was the perfect image for things that go "bump" right? He gets such a bad rap, but hes really a sweet, adorable guy. ;)

I used my Bic markers to color him, a pink copic to add some color to his cheeks and some silver stickles to dec out his bolts. Everyone needs bling, right?? I used DCWV color core cardstock and some scrap purple as well. Hope you like!!!

This second card is for Mojo Monday. Usually their sketches intimidate me, what with all the details, and frills and such...I am such a simple carder, but I loved this sketch! I am still trying to get my quota of Chrimstas cards this year, so I went with Dustin Pike's freebie santa .
I made him all fluffy with the ends of cotton swabs. I just pulled them apart and worked them until they looked right. Also, used my Bics to color him.
Used Stickles to bling up this snow flake on the tag. It added just the right amount of Christmas Cheer.
Hope you all enjoy this post!

Happy Monday!

Well, it was monday, but not a terrible one over all. Not too much to complain about.

This first card is for "Get Sketchy". LOVED this sketch...not sure if I nailed it with this card. This card is for our nephew Isaac, who will be 3 next week. His party is on Sunday.

I used Ian from The Greeting Farm. It was a freebie ages ago for a blog hop and I am just now getting to use him! He is colored with Copics and Bics. The sent is from Stampin Up.
This next card was made for the LPS blog challenge. This week was a sketch, and I loved the sketch! Jumped right on it! I kinda tweaked it a tad for what I had. Hope that's okay? I used an image that I believe comes from Stampin Up! but don't quote me on that. Got it in a swap. The sent IS Stampin Up!. Used my gold stickles and Heidi Grace papers as well.

Hope you enjoyed looking!

Just a few....

Ha! Okay. Wow, what a week already. I got time to play yesterday and today and that's what counts!!

This first card is for Cupcake Crafts. Their challenge was, "Thanks a bunch". I almost immediatly thought of this stamp that my friend Jenny just gave me. I don't even know who makes it, but its beautiful!!!

I popped out the bigger flowers and used my watercolor pencils to color it all in. I used ink and chalk to distress the background of the image and also distressed the edges of the papers. Then I made the Thanks sentiment inside a pocket!

This next card is for the House Mouse DT try-outs. I am not as impressed with this card as I had envisioned. I might re-submit before time. I DO, however, love this image and these papers. I used my bics and my watercolor pencils, a copic and a prisma marker as well. The papers are from Making Memories. LOVE!!! Used Glossy Accents on the flower and the rain drops.

This NEXT card (which, I am in love with) is for the ICS challenge this week. It was a great sketch, and I had this paper from My Mind's Eye that I was dieing to use, and then couple that with the Ketto and its just LOVE! (Oh, the sent is from SU). I used skittles and stickles, lots of orange ink and chalk for distressing.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Don't forget to check out the new Doodle Street Challenge tomorrow as well as see if you won the blog hop freebies!!! Oh, and did I mention we were RELEASING TOMORROW????

So, because I am a dummy and printed the WRONG images from Fresh Brewed...you are going to get a card with a current image of Heather's. Heather, I apologize! Her clocks are the cutest I have ever seen! Just begged to be used!
This paper is from Heather T...from DCWV. I colored the image with my bics and blah, blah, blah...you know my usuals by now, lol!
And...here is ZOE! What's Christmas without a sweet little elf? You can purchase her Wed. from the Doodle Street shop!
The papers are from Heidi Grace, and the sent if from Stampin Up! Colored with Bics.

And, here is another little sneak...just cause I love you all!

Woah, Nellie!

Wow, did I play today! Holy wow! DH forgot and didn't tell me until last night that they needed some card sets for Women's Retreat. Thaaaankkss....Yeah. ANYwho, can't blame the guy. He is swamped with work, school, family and all...
So I managed to make not one, not two...but THREE card sets (4 each) as well as one card for a challenge. (thanks to Gammie for watchin Noah for awhile) Phew! I am carded out and that's saying a lot considering who is talking, right?
So, I will show you the note card sets first. Simple and sweet. Just the way I like my notecards.

Now, for the faboo card. This image was a RAK from Dahling Heather D. (get it? D is for "dahling"?) Its Fluffles from Penny Black. LOVE it! Yes, I do! I am not a traditional girl when it comes to Christmas. Too much red and green together make me wanna upchuck....sooo...what about PINK and green? Eh? Eh??

Oh! Forgot to mention that this card is also for The Cute Critters Club over on Cafe Mom. It was a sketch challenge that BEGGED to be played with! Hope you likes!

Also, today is a new challenge over on Doodle Street! Fantasic sketch and prizes! Also, having our blog hop on SAT and SUN! Hope you join in and get in on the freebies! Release is on Wed (Oct. 7)!

Two for Tuesday!

YAY! I got to play! Not as much as I want, but ::shrugs:: I will take what I can get! Having a great week with wonderful, fantastical, BEAUTIFUL weather! Lots of park time, and out-of-the-house time for us!

So, today I tackled two blog challenges. The first was Little Paper Shop. They have a new cute sketch up, so I took the opportunity to make another Christmas card. I am trying my best to have as many as I need by the end of October...not sure if I am going to make it. ;)

I used all rak'd stuffs for this challenge. The paper, the image, the cuttled paper...even the stickles. YAY! I love RAKS! Used my bics and my blue prisma marker to color this cutee. Silver stickles for the snow-flakes to add a bit of pizazz.

This second challenge was for Cupcake Craft Challenges. Their theme this week was, "cute as a bug" and it really spoke to me! HAD to do it!!

Using a Magnolia image from an image swap from awhile back. She is holding the cutest lady bug. LOVE it! Used some vellum and paper pierced it. The corners of the image are layered half flowers (felt) from American Craft. I like how they kinda added dimension. The papers are all from DCWV. (Heather T) I am in love with that stack! I HAVE to go and find it for ME! ;) And, of course....(Jen, if you are reading....) buttons. Magnolia says "buttons" to me.

So, there you have it! Be sure to check out the Doodle Street Blog tomorrow for our challenge winner as well as our new challenge! And this Saturday and Sunday we are having a blog hop, all are welcome! Freebies to be given away! Be sure to check us out!

A modge podge...

So this post is kinda loaded, kinda not. ::shrugs:: Lets get to it!

This first project was made for my mother for Christmas. She loves calendars. She has one in almost every room...well, she did when I was a kid, but not so much anymore. She still loves them, though. I have a ton of 8.5 x 11 chipboard/cardboard material so I trimmed it down to meed the size I wanted. My sweet friend Jenn gave me this pack of pre-made calendar pages and I knew it was destiny! I hope to make another one this week. The image is from House Mouse and I colored it with a mix of Copic, Prisma, and Bic markers. I used the chalk the my dear friend Heather T. gave me.
This next project is for Angie's sketch challenge. So glad she extended the due date! I had no crafty time last week! But last night and this morning I did! FINALLY!
The image is Zoe, from Doodle Street. She will be released SOON! Stay tuned! ;) The papers are Heidi Grace and the sent is Stampin Up. I colored her with Bic and Copic markers.

This last one is for Get Sketchy. YAY! I love their blog. Always makin me think outside the box! That's for sure! This image is also soon-to-be-released from Doodle Street. STAY TUNED! Her name is Suzie. There might be another Suzie to be released too! The papers are from Making Memories and the mats are distressed with a nail file and the papers actually were made to look distressed as well.

Hope you enjoyed this post/sneak peek! More to come!

Doodle Street!

Good morning all! This morning is our second challenge over on Doodle Street! Make sure that you check it out and also be sure to congratulate our new DT!

This week the fabulous Heather of Doodle Street and Fresh Brewed designs chose our challenge. We were to create a get well card. Can you believe I got my card in ON TIME this week? LOL

I used my "You're So Tweet" set and paper pieced the bird. The papers were all from my scrap stash and the cardboard was from a package of something...can't remember, but I recycled it.

Have a happy Wednesday! Hope to be back later!

Rainy days and mondays...

Whew. What a blah, rainy, boring Monday. I HATE weather in TN sometimes.
K. Just had to get that off my chest. On to WAY cooler things! This week only, ALL doodle street images are buy 2 get 1 free! That's right! Today through Friday at midnight! Get em while they are hot!
Some instructions for those of you wanting to order: Put the two images or sets that you plan to buy in your cart and buy and pay. Message me and let me know which image you want for free and I will get it to you. There IS a sale option on shop handmade, but not a freebie option that I can tell. If I am wrong, fill me in! lol!

The fastest and easiest way that I know to print these images will be to open up a new Word document, choose insert, then picture, then from file, and then to resize hold down your shift key and then left click and drag the corner of your picture. Then you can copy and paste as many as you want to print.
Now, onto business. I managed, somehow, to do 3 challenges today, much to my snot nosed, toddler tornado's chagrin. Though, we did snuggle and read, he did have a great nap, and he has played very well, so I think, that all in all, the day went well.

This first card is for Mojo Monday. I LOVE the sketch, but I obviously fell short of the mark with this card...lets just say, the idea was GREAT in my head, LOL...LOVE the image, LOVE the paper, hate the card...but eh, it goes that way sometimes.

The image is from Doodle Street and can be purchased here. The papers were from my scrap stash. Umm...yeah. That pretty much sums this one up.
This next card is for Caardvarks. They are having a big challenge. 7 sketches in 7 days...I think. Anyway, I missed the first day, but this is a GREAT sketch! I was so inspired that I had to play! This is my first Caardvark experience!
This card was made with a Sarah Kay image that I got in a swap. The papers are from DCWV and were snatched from Heather T.'s stash of great paper stacks. This paper is GENIUS! The card basically made itself! The sentiment is from TAC. The felt flower was from American Craft.
This last card was made for Cupcake! I love their challenges and have missed getting to them the last couple of weeks! This week the challenge was "distressing". One of my FAVORITE things! I have missed it! I inked and roughed up the edges of the image, then for the 2 mat layers I used my nail file and scrubbed and distressed until I liked the look. The paper backgroub paper came distressed so it just begged to be used!

This one...was another card that made itself. The paper was all from scrap in my box. The image is a Happy Hopper that my friend Jenny stamped for me when she was here last week. I tried to do it justice and color it with some detail.
Hope this post at least made you smile! Enjoy! Hope to be visiting some other blogs soon! Don't forget to check out the Doodle Street sketch challenge, going on until the end of this week! Also, our DT call is still going on for those interested!

Finally!

I was FINALLY able to get to a comp and printer that worked together today and finish printing out my Doodle Street images. YAY! I am so excited about this venture! I hope you all enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them. Its all still a work in progress, but I have confidence that as time marches on things will take off! Its all about word of mouth!

So over at Doodle Street Blog we are having a sketch challenge. Check it out! We are also having a DT Call. Check that out too! You get 2 freebies just for trying out! Spread the word, even if you are too busy for a DT at the moment!

So here is my card for the sketch...like, 2 days behind schedule. Wait, isn't this partly my blog? Why am I the late one? LOL I hope you enjoy! The image is "tulip" and she can be bought here. All of our images are uber cheap and its great cause you never have to worry about ink stains, or wear and tear or even reconditioning the rubber cause they are all digi! Woot! (not to say that I have something against rubber, cause I LOVE me some stamps, lol).
Next week all of my images will be, buy two , get one free! Come on over and make your list now!

Enjoy! And hey, its almost TGIF!!

Do the monster mash

Hey there, fellow crafters! Have you heard? Have you seen? Have you JUMPED IN?? Doodle Street had our release today! Hop on over and check it out! Freebies, and the winner of this week's challenge gets 2 free images! One from Fresh Brewed Designs, and one from Doodle Street! Come on over!

On to the card that I was able to make this afternoon:
This was for the LPS challenge. Their theme was Halloween and I could not think of anything more fun that Frankie from Doodle Street to make this card with. I found this purple paper and KNEW it was all just going to fall together and it did! I AM, however, bummed, because the comp that hooks to our printer pooped out for the last time yesterday and I was not able to print out the sentiment that goes with him. =0( Guess I will have to add that later. ::shrugs:: oh, well!

Have a great rest of the week!

I did manage to make a card yesterday and am hoping to get one or two done today as well! I also am getting to play with my friend Jennifer from Alabama today! YAY!
Anyway, this card is for Get Sketchy. This sketch was harder than it seemed. SO many layers! Wow, it took me awhile to get this card just the way I wanted it, but once I did I fell in love!
This image is from The Angel Company. The flowers are from Prima. And, of course, the paper is from Making Memories. I colored her with my Copic and my Bic markers and stickled the flowers with stardust stickles. I hope you enjoy!

Ah, mojo...How I have missed thee...

So, I really wanted to try out for the ICS DT challenge, but I was terrified of the sketch...its...SO different than my comfort zone...and as most of you know, I like staying in my comfort zone. If there is one thing that I have learned in my journey in paperfcrafting, it is this....get outside of your comfort zone and you are going to soar higher than you thought you ever could...so, I took a deep breath...closed my eyes....and jumped in. It----was----awesome!

HA! OKay, seriously. I had a blast and this card just jumped together, no joke. So, here goes!

This card was made from scrap/RAK paper that I have been hoarding. Must...find...more....I used Tim Holtz tea colored distressing ink to...you guessed it! Distress the paper! The pearl skittes were a prize or a RAK. My brain is getting fuzzy on some things. The sentiment is from Stampin Up!
This next card was actually made on...Tuesday? Monday? Monday. Yes. FOR Mojo Monday. How sad that I am just now posting it? ::sigh:: Mommy has gone back to work ultra part time and is learning to balance needs and wants. Need: Time with Noah....Want...time on blog...So, here I am, Friday night, almost 9 pm, finally posting. It will get better. Next week are just two partial days, so not too bad, right? RIGHT? lol!

I do apologize for the lack of quality in this photo. It would seem that both of my sets of batteries lacked the charge to get a decent shot, so here you go!

The image is from Paper Make Up Stamps. The paper is from DCWV, stolen from Heather (toothy) when she least expected it. The skittles were RAKd. Probably from Heather.
