Today was a twofer!

Yup! You heard me right! Heather D. has this challenge going on over on CCC on Cafe Mom and I almost didn't even try. I was actually kind of sulking about it because it was SO not my thing...so...outside the box...DUH...That's what a challenge IS, right?

So, our challenge was to NOT use any stamped image. WHAT? And then to top it off she wants us to use papers and patterns that might not match? Um, NO? Ask Heather T. how picky I am when it comes to THAT, lol! "Nope, its a shade off. Can't use it. " LOL
So I get this package in the mail today from Heather D. ( can I just call you thing one and thing two? that might be easier). In it is this Chicken Soup For The Soul seek-a-word book and I flipped it over (old habit from normal books...I consume books like they are going out of style!) and I see THIS:

EEEEEE!!!! I was SO inspired but it was SO not time for crafting so I bided my time until Noah went to bed and DH was settled in with his latest Clive Cussler novel and I went to work. I want HONEST opinions! I, personally, love it, but eh. That doesn't always mean anything.

Anyway, Heather? Thanks for a BIG smack of inspiration RIGHT between the eyes! MWA!

Have MERCI!

He, he, he! No, really!

Today's card is for Friday Sketchers. Once again, they didn't fail me! CUTE sketch and the card fell right into place. Most of the paper was RAKd as was the "Paris in Spring" images from SU!. I LOVED this set and then it retired, so some sweet soul ( the name has slipped my mind) shared with me last year sometime. Woot! Nothing overly special about this card, but I love it. I will definatly be using this sketch again!

Summer and Coffee

Two of my favorite things! Been having a blast this summer getting deeper into blog territory and am back today with two more entries!

This first one is for Bloggabella. SO glad I found this one before the deadline. This was a fun sketch and I see myself using it again in the future! Here you are!

The paper is from sandylion and I have had it in my scrap bin for a few years. The green is from Stampin up and is the very, very last scrap of stampin up cardstock I own. ::sniffle:: I hung onto that scrap for FIVE YEARS! Can you believe it? That's how GREAT that stuff is! I couldn't use it! The image is, of course, Latte Bella and I used a bella sent as well. I think its from the Billboard Bella?

This last card is for ICS #27. This sketch was SO intimidating at first, but once I got going I loved it! Thanks, ICS ladies!
The image is from Whiff of joy and I was lucky enough to receive her in our recent swap that you keep hearing me go on and on about. Most likely the BEST SWAP EVER, LOL! The papers are all scrap from my new fave stack from K and Company, Citronella. LOVE!!! The flowers are those primas you keep reading about. OH! And the twine is from one of the BEST secret sisters EVAH!

Hope you are having a blessed week!

Who says Mondays are a drag?

I am having a GREAT monday! I woke up and checked my blog this morning to find out that I had WON the Little Paper Shop surprise party challenge! WOOT! Can't wait to get my stamps! They are so sweet! THANKS little paper shop! This is my FIRST EVER blog win!
So, that totally set the mood for the day. =0)
So, as soon as Noah went down for a nap today I started right in on more challenges. Today I tackled House Mouse and Cupcake.
House Mouse first. The challenge this week was a sketch challenge. It was nice and clean and I loved it! Here is my card!
I have had this image since one of my very first image swaps and have no idea the name of it, but finally decided to use it and am not sorry that I did. I love it! I used Bic markers as well as my prisma Cool Gray and my skin and pink copics. I used glossy accents for the rain and the puddle and added some cotton candy stickles for the cone flowers. I also decided to pop one of the flowers for added fun!
The second card is for the Cupcake Challenges. The challenge this week was a color challenge. Honestly, these are usually some of the hardest for me, but this card just fell together.

I just LOVE this little turtle tot! Don't you? Heather D. sent me these images, but I might have to invest in him. Not sure about the paper and the buttons are from my aunts button stash. She let me pilfer. ;) The primas are from my calypso mix. I am running low! Oh, NO! I used my cotton candy stickles from Heather T. for the little flowers on the image.
Hope you all are having a wonderful Monday like I am, and if not, there is always tomorrow!

Had a Gorjuss Friday!

So in that swap we had over on Stamper Annonymous we got some Gorjuss Girls. I have been dieing to try them, but thought I wasn't cool enough or something, lol!

Anyway, so last night hubby had to work late so I decided to get my card on. I made this card for "Friday Sketchers" and I actually like the way it turned out. I loved their sketch!

Here you go!

The image is, of course, a Gorjuss girl. I used my Bic Markers and the flowers are the Calypso mix of Primas. The cuttlebugged paper was a RAK, but I am sad to say, I don't remember from whom. The papers are ALL from my scraps! I really am trying to be a good girl and use them up!

Jessica, I hope your birthday is bright!
I used all DCWV papers. The image is "giftbellawithhat. I have had it for a couple of uears. It was a gift from a dear friend over at Card Makin Mamas for my birthday. =0) My very first Bella.

ARggghhh Mayteeee!!

Two more challenges for you today! Wow! I can't believe it! I am on a roll this week!
This first one is for the CCC sketch challenge. I LOVE how this card turned out! Here you go!
I used Dustin Pike's pirate dragon freebie. The papers were all scrap (I WILL use those up! I WILL! lol!) I colored my lil dragon with Bics.

This last card was for Mojo Monday. I have mixed feelings about it, but I digress. The Anya image came from our recent Stampers Anonymous image swap. Love those Greeting Farm stamps! I hope to invest soon! This paper is ALSO scrap! Woot! The flowers are the Calypso blend of Primas.

I hope you all are having a fabulous hump day!

Two For Tuesday!

Yay! Thanks to a GREAT swap over on Stampers Anonymous I am inspired again! I got TONS of GREAT images! Thanks Shannon!
Today I did the ICS blog challenge and the LPS blog challenge. They were QUITE challenging...esp the ICS challenge.
I admit. When I saw the sketch I almost didn't even scroll down to see the DT cards cause I was thinking....wow...I don't even know what I can do with that.....
BUT....I did scroll, and I DID make a card!
And here is my card. I do not know the name of this magnolia. If someone knows, please enlighten me. I used my Bic Markers, my Prisma cool gray, and my skin colored Copic...Oh, and my white gel pen. ;) The buttons are from a prize I received recently.

The next card is for the LPS sketch challenge. It was much more easy to imagine, but the colors I chose were harder than I anticipated. All in all, I like how this Anaya turned out.

I used stardust stickles, bic and copic markers...and some random orange ribbon? I have no idea on the paper. It was scrap.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a fabulous day!

Just a Couple, Just Because.

I made these mostly just because. I had a third one almost completed and it met with a heat gun accident....lets just say that heat guns and glossy accents don't mix...LOL
ANYwho. So this first one might spoil the surprise...I hope not, though. One of my friends had a pleasant surprise and I want to congratulate her. This Bella was stamped from Heather T. (geesh, you two just RULE my blog posts, LOL). The paper is DCWVs Nanas Nursery pack as well as some cardstock from JoAnn. I colored her with my Bics and Copic and used Cotton Candy Stickles and Stardust Stickles. Hope you enjoy!
This second one is for a challenge over on CMMs. It was a sketch challenge for our Christmas in July celebration. I received this Wreathbella image AGES...probably a year or more?? Ago. The paper was on sale at Hobby Lobby when I went for adhesive yesteray. ;) She is colored with my Bics and Skin Copic.
Now its time to go get some lunch! Ize HONgry! lol! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Feelin FOXY ;)

So this morning I got to craft. YAY! Love me some crafty time! Noah "helped" by "re-organizing ALL of my stamps...took me a good 15 or 20 minutes to get them back where they belonged, ha! Love my lil man!
So this first card is for House Mouse Monday. I am going to be honest...when I read that we weren't allowed to color I almost choked! But then I thought, well I can just paper piece! But...most of my house mouse stamps don't lend themselves to being paper pieced. BLAH...but this one, and oldie but a goodie, worked out great! Its called, "Two part harmony". A LONG time fave! I paper pieced the entire thing. I do feel I could have done a little better. I forgot the poor bird's beak! The papers were from DCWV, and from Carol as part of a prize package a few weeks ago!

This next card is for the Cute Critters Club over on Cafe Mom. Heather chose the colors Orange, Blue and Green and I KNEW I had the perfect paper for this one! I stole it from Heather T.'s scrap stash! It was PERFECT for this adorable fox that I got from....Shannon? I am almost sure that's where it came from. I colored him with my Bic Markers and accented with my Prisma Cool Gray marker. (THANKS HEATHER! )

This last card was just 'cause. I received this beatiful Kristen (Paper Makeup Stamps) from Lisa. She's beautiful and I just love her! I colored her with my skin colored Copic and my Bic Markers. This paper is also from Carol from my prize package. When I saw them all together, I KNEW I had to make this car. Once I had it all layed out I realized that I didn't want a bunch of embellishing. I wanted the image and the feel of the card to speak for itself. I did use a rub in word from K and Company. And, of course...I thought it could use some bling. Some gold Stickles for the wings, and some fine powder glitter for the dandelion puff.

I hope you enjoyed these! Hope to get back into the scene! I get so lazy, ha! Have a great humpday, everyone!

A new hand to hold....

Our friend Krista is in labor as I type this. Anxiously awaiting the moment when she can finally set eyes on her precious new baby girl. I had a few minutes to myself, so I whipped up this card and sketch. I hope you enjoy it. I hope she does too. ;)

The image is mamabella from www.stampingbella.com. I actually stamped it from Heather T.'s stamp the first time we "got together" and have only now gotten it out to use it. I colored her with my copcs, bics and prisma markers. Speaking of Heather, the paisley background paper is also from her. Stolen from her scrap stash. ;) The sent was from...ummm...possibly....err... Shannon?? Oh, I hope I am right, lol! I am almost sure its a stampin up sentiment. I used my white gel pen to put polka-dots on the pink brads to make them stand out more since they blended in. I was hoping I had brown ones, but alas, it was not to be. The ribbon is from American Craft and I am almost at the end of that roll. OH NO! lol!

Hope you enjoyed, and hope to be back soon with more projects!!

Christmas in July!!

So over at Card Makin Mamas we are having a "Christmas in July" celebration. I had that in mind when I was crafting these last two days. Now all I want to make is Christmas cards, ha! So I might get a headstart on my family Christmas cards. Woot!

The first card that I made was for Mojo Monday. This week they are having a contest! Woohoo!

Here is their sketch:

Here is my card:
I used a freebie dustin pike image of a snowman. I love him! He is SO CUTE! I used paper by Heidi Grace. Its double sided. I bought 6 pieces the other day, but I am now down to two pieces. I am using it like CRAZY!! I colored this guy with my prisma cool gray, and with my bics.
This next one I am in love with! Its for the Friday Sketchers. I wasn't so sure about this sketch until I got started. I used an image that I think I received from my good friend Heather D. Its a Hannah Stamp and I am in love with it! I colored her with my Bics and Copics and I punched out some little circles to make ornaments with and used Glossy Accents to make them look like real Christmas Balls. I used my glitter for the snow, and cotton candy stickles and stardust stickles on the shirt and the star. This is also Heidi Grace paper. The same lol!

And, lastly, I have finally been making an attempt to get back into working on Noah's scrapbook. Here are the 3 pages I have done the last 2 days. Hope you enjoy!! I am off to "freshen up" for a girls night out! Woot! First one in....geesh...months?? Possibly EVER?
