TGIF

So today, I am bushed, but I took the time to do a couple of challenges. YAY for crafty time!

I did the ICS challenge and the Get Sketchy challenge. Both were sketches.
This first card was the Get sketchy challenge. I knew what image I wanted to use for this sketch, but could not get the paper just right. It took awhile, but I am finally happy with my outcome.

I used a penny black image that I got from my friend Jenny. I popped out the flower and stickled it with my cotton candy stickles. The papers are from DCWV, the Nanas Nursery Girl Pack.

This last card is for the ICS challenge. I decided it was time to do another Christmas card! Used a House Mouse image from the Christmas in July swap we had in Card Makin Mamas. I hope you enjoy!

A Beary Colorful Challenge

Hey, there citizens! Today I finished my card for the LPS blog challenge! I love using Katie because I can paper piece with her. I even piece the bows and the patch! Love it!

This week's challenge was to use the colors, brown, green and blue. I hope you enjoy!

Got Sketch?

So I found this new blog last week, and I like it! So I played again this week! Get Sketchy. Love em! Lots of neat stuff!
Here is my card! I used the very last of my house mouse punkin images. Going to just have to invest in this stamp, he, he, he! I used my new Heidi Grace paper that I LOVE and some polka dot scrap papers. I really hope you like! I wasn't sure about the sketch at first, but of course, as I played, I liked it more and more!
Have a great night! (apologies for the quality of the pic....my son is dieing to get some attention!) ;)

Nurse Nellie!

So I FINALLY accomplished some crafty-ness this week! Only one card, but eh, I have done worse, ha!

Today I used the "Mojo Monday" sketch challenge for my best friend (really, since the 6th grade!) She is getting her LPN pinning tomorrow (in regular people terms, she is graduating school as an LPN...a nurse) and I took this challenge to make her a card. Here you go!

I was FINALLY able to dig out my very last of the last Nurse Nellie Images. Phew! I was SO afraid I didn't have any more! I was also brave enough to sew for REAL on my card. It wasn't that bad! Who knew?? This might become more of a regular on my cards! It was super simple, it just took a little time and that's alright. I can't remember who makes the papers. they were all scraps (so proud to be going through all of them!) The flowers are American Craft and I sewed some buttons that were a prize from Shannon onto them.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this cute lil gal as much as I did! Great sketch, mojo!!

Anyone want a cupcake??

Hi all! Happy Monday!
Today, I am participating in my first, ever blog hop! Its so neat! Cupcake Crafts is turing ONE today! WOOHOO! I am so glad they stuck around! They were the first, ever blog that I participated in and I am loving them more and more each week! Congrats on a fab year, and hope there are many more to come!
Their challenge this week is "something sweet" but as a bonus you can use a cupcake, specifiaclly. YAY! Love me some yum! ;) I used my cupcake set that I got from a super sweet cafe-mommer last year for my b-day. I paper pieced the cupcakes. The papers are from Making Memories, their Easter pack, and DCWV. The flower is from the Calypso prima set. Love this challenge, love my card! Hope you do too! Don't forget to check out the Cupcake Craft Challenges and get into the fun!

Second, is a card that I made yesterday afternoon for LPS. They asked us to use the "spotlight" technique. This was my first time doing this and I don't know that I did it right, but I stioll think the card is cute. =0) I used my Beary Katie set from LPS that I won a couple of challenges back. I was SO excited to finally receive her and ink her up! Loved paper piecing with her!

Anyway, the papers are from the nanas nursery DCWV pack. Hope you like! Have a great Monday, all!!

Seasonal Breakdown!

Alright, so the last few days I suppose I am not sure which season it is! lol! The other day I made a fall card, but then today I have made halloween, Christmas and Spring...lol! Seasonal identy crises! HA!

Okay, down to business. This first card I actually made on Friday for the "Friday Sketchers" blog, but wasn't able to post until today. DH has been working hard to finish his school and I didn't want to bug him about posting a blog. ;)

The image for this is from Heather D. from ages, and ages ago. Unfortunatly, I wasted 2 before I got it right, for a total of 3 images. Oh, well! I colored her with my skin copic and my bics. I used some cotton candy stickles for her dress and the outline of the umbrella. The papers are from My Minds Eye. They have some pretty neat-o stuff! The flowers are, of course, Prima. The last of the yellows. ::sigh:: I really shouldn't become so attached to things.

This next card is for a new blog that I found this afternoon called, "Get Sketchy" The DT cards were great, but I actually had a hard time with this sketch for some reason. I like how it turned out overall, though.
I used a freebie Dustin Pike image and colored it with my Bics. The papers are from Heidi Grace. I am just discovering how GREAT she is! Man, her stuff is fun!
This last card is just cause. As most of you know, I am not really "into" halloween, but this paper was too cute to pass up. It has black boots and candy canes and says, "trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat". Its just adorable. It also has some yellow and orange light plaid on the back. Its awesome! This paper was also by Heidi Grace. I also got some color core cardstock. Thats the black with orange around the edge. Anywho, hope your weekend is going great! Thanks for stopping in!

Cupcakes and sketches

Okay, so I am out of witty titles. Come on, give a girl a break, ha!

Today was, in a word....rough. Not the worst ever, but filled with unexplainable tantrums and tudes from the 2.5 year old in the house hold. If he wasn't so cute he would have been in trouble LONG ago, ha! There is a reason God makes kids cute!!

I did, however, manage to steal a few minutes out for myself to get a few challenges done.
The first card was for Cupcake Craft Challenges. It was a double challenge, really. A sketch as well as a color challenge. Blue, cream, brown...beautiful! But I was having trouble mainly with the shape of the sentiment. It was a toughie for me, but I didn't want to give up. Leave it to the power of clear stamps and flexability! Woot! The image is from Sarah Kay. My friend Jenny visited last week and she let me stamp as many of her stamps as I could ink up! It was great! All of this paper was scrap from my stash. Woot!

The last card, this evening was made for ICS. Their sketch was pretty so I got to work. It was a bit of a challenge because I really have been SO antsy to do a fall card, and the images I wanted to use just didn't work with the circle shape. ::sigh:: So I went with this cute lil critter. I believe...( and I could be terribly mistaken) that this is a clear dollar image. If not then its from TAC....Huh....ANYwho, I have been hoarding this paper for about a year. Got it on clearance for 2 something at Target. It is from Marcella Kay. The red (not sure if you can tell) is red with embossed leaves on it. I love it! Anyway, thanks for checking in! Happy almost weekend! Ha!

Fabulous Friday!

Its Friday! WOOHOO! So, when I saw the Friday Sketchers sketch I was in LOVE! Its beautiful and the DT's cards are even more beautiful! I was so inspired....then...I dunno what happened. My Cricut ate flourish after flourish until I had no teal left so i had to substitute...I am not sure what I think about this card. I DO love the sketch, though and plan to use it again!
The paper is some scrap, some RAK. The blue was RAK from Heather T. I believe she said it was Martha Stewart. The image is from Paper Makeup Stamps. I received it from Lisa M. The sent is from Stampin Up. The swiss dots bug paper is also from a RAK. I inked the edges of the layers, and used the Home Accents cart for the flourish that I sucessfully cut.
Happy Friday to all!!

Phew! Finally!!

I finally got a few minutes to craft yesterday, though, my 2 year old thought it was torment ot having my undivided attention for about an hour, lol!

This first card is for the LPS sketch this week. It was simple and sweet, so that's how I left the card. I used a whiff of joy image that I received in the world famous Stampers Anonymous swap, and colored her with my copic and bics. I got these K and Company flowers at Big Lots for 1 dollar! Woot! Love deals! Anyway, here you go!

This next card is for Mojo Monday. I decided to deviate from my normal girlie style and go punkish for a moment. I LOVE it! Pink and black look so good together! This Gorjuss girl is also from the world famous swap. The skittles were from a prize in the same group. I colored the image with my copic and bics. I used Cotton Candy Stickles on her leggings. The paper is all scrap/RAK paper.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Today I am going to stamp the day away with my best friend's sister-n-law. She is bringing her stamps, and I will share mine....with lots of Noah in between, LOL!
